Built for the freelancer who bills for their work — not the agency manager who tracks a team.
Time tracking
Start the timer.
Everything else follows.
Hit start when you begin work. Hit stop when you finish. Billmark logs the time against the right project and client — no tagging, no exporting, no reconciling at the end of the month.
- Assign client and project before or after — it always lands in the right place
- Add manual entries for time you forgot to track
- Today's hours, this week's hours, this month's billable total — always visible
Invoicing
Professional invoices
in under a minute.
Select a client, pick a billing period, and Billmark pulls every logged hour into a clean, itemized invoice. Your rate, your tax, your branding — set it once and forget it.
- Line items built from your actual time log — no re-entering data
- Set hourly rates per client or project, not just one global rate
- Export as PDF — looks like it came from a design studio, not a SaaS tool
How it works
From first minute to final
payment in three steps.
Harvest and Toggl are built for managers.
Billmark is built for the person doing the work.
Questions
Practical answers about what Billmark does and how it works.
- 01 Who is Billmark built for?
-
Independent freelancers — designers, developers, writers, consultants — who bill by the hour or project. If you work alone and need to track time and send invoices, Billmark is the right fit. If you need to manage a team's time across departments, it isn't.
- 02 Can I set different rates for different clients?
-
Yes. You can set a default hourly rate on your account and then override it per client or per project. Your invoice will calculate the total based on whatever rate applies to each session.
- 03 What does the invoice look like to my client?
-
A clean, professional document with your business name, the client's name, itemized line items from your time log, your rate, applicable tax, and the total due. It exports as a PDF — no Billmark branding in the document.
- 04 Can I track time on multiple projects at once?
-
The timer runs one session at a time — which is intentional. That said, you can freely switch between projects during the day, and add manual entries for any time you forgot to track with the timer.
- 05 Does Billmark process payments from my clients?
-
Billmark handles the time tracking and invoice generation side. You send the invoice via PDF or email and collect payment through whatever method you and your client agree on — bank transfer, check, or a payment processor of your choice.
- 06 Is my data private?
-
Your time logs and invoice data belong to you. Billmark does not share your client list, your rates, or your earnings with third parties. You can export or delete your data at any time.
